QueryTest is for writers seeking feedback on their query letters. It's hard to get useful feedback on a query letter, because whether a reader likes a query or not depends on a lot on that reader's personal taste. There are other sites where you can get quality feedback, but in most cases you'll get fewer than 15 replies. That isn't enough to sort out problems with the query from differences in personal taste.
QueryTest is about quantity of feedback. We don't ask reviewers to write detailed comments on each query. We only ask them to answer two yes or no questions--whether or not they want to read the novel based on the query, and whether or not it's a genre they ordinarily read. That's it! Because reviewing is so quick and easy, you may receive a hundred or more responses to your query.
What this site is not is a way to get your novel published. Don't submit here expecting to get responses from agents or editors. QueryTest is about getting feedback on your query from other writers so you can fine-tune it before you send it out.
Your query is submitted to reviewers anonymously, and the feedback you receive is private. No one can see it but you. Reviewer feedback is also anonymous.
How do you get started? Your first step is to register on the site. It's free. Once registered, you will be able to submit a single query. After that, you will need to earn review points in order to submit more. You get 1 point per query reviewed (remember, all you need to do is answer two yes or no questions). For each 10 review points you earn, you may submit another query. You may have as many queries active on the site as you like, as long as you earn the review points to post them. You may even post multiple versions of the same query to see which one readers like better! Or post queries for unwritten novels, to see which story ideas resonate best.
